I met a young man on the flight to Arizona for my recent 50k trail race. He is in the construction industry and struck up a conversation about why I was going to Arizona. We discussed his having run a marathon and pushing through “The Wall.” He shared that it was a tough thing for him, and he had no idea that what was waiting for him on the other side of The Wall was peace, effortlessness and expanded joy. He said it is counter-intuitive to what he thought and he is so glad he did it. It showed him how to push through The Wall in his work, in relationships, in all areas of his life. He is now responsible for an entire construction crew for a company that builds 500+ unit multi-use projects all over the country. He never would have dreamed of doing that unless he had pushed through The Wall.
